nick cave

Just finished this new painting as a late birthday gift for my friend Erin.

I haven't worked with my wacom tablet in a while. So I did some tests using painter

as you can see lots and lots of experiments with going from gray tones and then going into colors.

my computer kept crashing, so I kept trying different quick styles before my computer would explode

Your experiments are pretty fantastic dude, you haven't lost your touch at all.I'm quite fond of the Vincent Price sketches, particularly the girl in the green dress.

thanks man, the girl is Maria from Castlevania Symphony of the Night.
I'm debating about doing a Vincent Price piece, I've been watching Dr Goldfoot series, and they have flaws but a WONDERFUL CONCEPT Of Vincent Price making robot women to hold the world hostage..... but somewhere the films are kinda blah.

I actually stumbled upon Dr Goldfoot a few years back when watching some humorous Raquel Welch videos on youtube. If you plan on doing a Vincent Price piece one day, I think you owe it to yourself to throw in a Fembot or two lol.

Actually I was in a Mario Bava marathon. I had Hatchet for the Honeymoon, Black Sabbath, Danger Diabolik and Dr Goldfoot the Girl Bomb...... and Goldfirst was the last one...... and it was such a DOWNER. It's kinda mind blowing considering some of these films came before Goldfoot, and it came before Diabolik which makes you realize Bava learned from all his mistakes in making a sexy comedy. Yeah I LOOOOOOVE the idea of Vincent Price making super cute Robots that he trains and takes care of them in order for them to unleash terror.
Actually I saw Roger Corman's the Raven in between Black Sabbath and Goldfoot, and it was fun seeing Vincent Price and Boris Karloff together.
